Scenes and episodes
Several scenes in one project, transitions between them, and playing the whole story.
- The scene menu next to the project title creates, duplicates, renames, reorders and deletes scenes.
- Look & feel → Into the next scene picks the transition (cut, fade, crossfade, wipes, iris, slide, pixel dissolve) and its length.
- Plan an episode in the Direct tab writes scripts for several scenes from one story.
- More → Play whole story plays every scene in order with the transitions. Export → What to export → Whole episode makes one video or game-engine package of all of them.
Choices and branches
Look & feel → When this scene ends decides what comes next: go on to the next scene, end the story, jump to another scene, or let the player choose. A choice shows a menu with up to four options, each leading to a scene.
- Game exports (Godot and Unity) show the menu and wait for the player, then jump to the chosen scene.
- Videos and Play whole story show the menu for a moment and follow the first choice.
- Give the last scene of each branch its own ending (End the story here, or a jump back), so one branch doesn't run on into the next.
Comic panels
Look & feel → Comic panels puts several scenes on screen at once: side by side, top and bottom, a diagonal split, one big and two small, or four panels. This scene fills the first panel; pick the scenes for the others. They all play at the same time, and the gutter, its colour and dark borders are yours to set.
- Scenes shown in panels don't also play on their own in Play whole story, videos and game exports.
- Sound comes from the scene that holds the panels.
- Godot and Unity exports show the panels and comic lines too, and the JSON export describes them for your own engine.
Comic lines
Look & feel → Comic lines draws up to 12 bold lines over the picture — vertical, horizontal or diagonal — to split a single scene into panels or slash across a dramatic moment. Set each line's position, thickness and colour.
