Export a video

MP4 or WebM, wide, vertical or square, with subtitles or big captions.

Vertical video with big captions and a subtitles file.
  1. Press Export, then choose the Video tab.
  2. Shape: Landscape 16:9 for YouTube and games, Vertical 9:16 for TikTok, Shorts and Reels, or Square 1:1 for feeds. Vertical and square follow the action automatically — choose 9:16 or 1:1 under the stage first to preview the framing.
  3. Dialogue: your dialogue box as in the Studio, or Big captions — bold outlined text across the picture. Tick Subtitles file (.srt) to download subtitles next to the video.
  4. Format: MP4 (encoded frame by frame, usually faster than real time) or WebM (recorded in real time — keep the tab open).
  5. Press Export. The file downloads when it's done.
  • Free exports are 720p with a small PixelStory mark; Pro and Team export 1080p with no mark.
  • More → Save this frame as PNG saves the current picture.
  • If MP4 isn't offered in your browser, use a recent Chrome, Edge or Safari, or export WebM.
